 | Safe, Reliable, Profitable Only after intensive discussions with the client have taken place, and many questions regarding the new ship have been asked, does the design process go ahead and are construction plans drawn up. The client’s ideas play a vital role in the design process; it is important that both parties be satisfied with the end result. Computer records are, of course, kept of all past designs and construction plans. These are often consulted in the design of a new ship.
Schiffswerft Diedrich specialises in the development of passenger ships for travel across coastal mudflats and rivers. We also have expertise in the development of cargo ships, fishing vessels and special purpose ships.
More than 80 new ships have been launched from Schiffswerft Diedrich. Our shipyard has made a name for itself with ferry companies operating in the difficult intertidal waterways off the Ostfriesish coast. As well, 30 fishing vessels have been built at our shipyard, all of which have stood the test in the roughest northern parts of the North Sea. The most recently built of these fishing vessels were five cutters for the Ditzumer Fleet. |
